  Beautiful building right in the heart of Wareham, can't help feeling it lacks gravitas. They are solid people running it on a shoestring and keeping it going, which is the most important thing ! Too many places get crushed under the pubco fist of destruction. My heart goes out to the good folk of "The Bear" across the road.
  It's one of the last "Great Anglo-Saxon" towns of our goodly shires that easily holds itself against the modernistic types wanting to wash everything with plastic and lies.
  I like the place, many won't if I'm honest, But like the Duke and the other "Big Five" of Wareham, it is part of the town and should be visited.
  The Quay and even the chip shop, the hardy guy at the mobility shop (yes ...it has one !!) ...and a library. (Maybe I should be sending this to the tourist board ? ) . Public Houses and the like only exist by patronage....go on .... Enjoy England !
